Job Details Job Location Monarch Academy Annapolis - Annapolis, MD Position Type Part Time Education Level None Salary Range $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly Summer Camp Pre-School Intern Position Overview The Children's Guild's Monarch Academy Annapolis program is seeking enthusiastic high school students to join our summer camp program as Pre-School Intern. This internship opportunity provides valuable experience working with young children in an educational and recreational setting. The ideal candidate is energetic, responsible, and enjoys working with pre-school aged children. Key Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily camp activities for pre-school children Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times Prepare and organize materials for arts and crafts, games, and learning activities Assist with snack and lunch times, ensuring proper hygiene practices Help with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization Monitor children during naptime Assist with escorting children to and from different activity areas Support children with basic needs (e.g., bathroom breaks, handwashing) Build positive relationships with campers and help foster a fun, inclusive environment Participate in daily staff meetings and weekly planning sessions Document and communicate any concerns about children to the lead teacher or principal Assist with parent drop-off and pick-up procedures Qualifications Qualifications Must be a high school student (rising sophomore, junior, or senior) Previous experience with children preferred but not required Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions Responsible, reliable, and punctual Enthusiastic and positive attitude Ability to work well in a team environment High energy level and stamina for active days Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding children and families Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, and interact with children for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Comfort with outdoor activities in various weather conditions Required Documentation Background check and CPS clearance Valid work permit if under age 18 Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Benefits Valuable work experience in early childhood education Professional development opportunities Mentorship from experienced educators Potential for future employment opportunities CHILDRENS GUILD INC
