We are searching for a dynamic and motivated Metrology Technician C to join our team at our Bloomfield, Connecticut location. Hours for the position are 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, which includes 1 hour of mandatory overtime, according to business needs.

Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.

Position Summary:

Maintains measurement and testing equipment for quality tools according to American National Standards Specifications (ANSI).

Responsibilities:
    \n
  • Assist with maintaining metrology lab equipment.
  • \n
  • Calibrate, adjust and ensure reliability of equipment. Per Kamatics calibration schedule. Repair as needed.
  • \n
  • Maintain records, issue reports, and track missing and delinquent equipment within the system.
  • \n
  • Write requisitions for purchasing, calibration, and repair of equipment.
  • \n
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
  • \n
  • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes and procedures. Contribute to 6S programs in work area.
  • \n
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment.
  • \n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirement/Qualifications:
    \n
  • Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
  • \n
  • Experience - Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment; aerospace manufacturing preferred.
  • \n
  • Skills:
      \n
    • Ability to calibrate quality instruments/gages and repair quality equipment
    • \n
    • Ability to read manufacturing blueprints with solid mechanical aptitude.
    • \n
    • Ability to set up and utilize different gages and inspect work.
    • \n
    • Solid knowledge in basic manufacturing math.
    • \n
    • Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to make fact-based decisions.
    • \n
    • Ability to communicate with different levels in the organization (speaking, listening, and questioning)
    • \n
    • Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills with a focus on obtaining results.
    • \n
    • Dependable individual that takes initiative, works well with a team and has a strong customer service mindset.
