To serve our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the warehouse by driving a tractor trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and company standards. Responsibilities include unloading product from trailer by hand or using a hand cart in all weather conditions, ensuring all paperwork is completed according to company and governmental guidelines, meeting food safety protocols, maintaining sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer, developing good customer relationships, and other duties as assigned by management. Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience or completion of a tractor trailer driving school. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and be insurable to operate a vehicle. Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting and delivery practices is required. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds by hand and pushing/pulling up to 350 pounds with a hand cart, climbing in and out of tractor and trailer, and working in various weather conditions. Work environment includes exposure to wet, hot, cold, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The position usually involves an overnight schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying start times. Average earnings are $75,000 - $85,000 per year with 2-4 routes per week.
